Non-surgical treatment
Non-surgical treatment for scoliosis is generally a back brace. It is used for children whose spinal curves will probably get worse and who are still growing. After you are grown, a back brace cannot help correct the curvature of your spine.
Surgical treatment
Scoliosis surgery is used for children who have very severe curves. The doctors will fuse the spine together into a single piece of bone, removing the curve.
