Patient Testimonials

“Dr. Kwadwo Owusu-Akyaw, or as we all say, Dr. O, is amazing. Not only is he a fantastic orthopedic doctor with a great bedside manner he is a skilled surgeon who takes his time to answer questions with genuine concern. In the age of 5 minute appointments where you feel rushed out the door, seeing Dr. O is like being part of his family. I had surgery and communicated with him regularly through the portal between appointments. Well, I slipped up and missed an appointment and something unheard of happened. Dr. O called himself not once but twice to check on me because it was not like me to miss an appointment. If you want to see what great care is, book with Dr. O.” – Kristal O.

“Admiration is an understatement when it comes to my gratitude towards Dr. Owusu-Akyaw. Following my second labral tear, I was unsure if and at what capacity I would be able to return to the pitch. His unwavering commitment to my recovery and dedication as my surgeon has been a game-changer and ensured my return to the rugby pitch. I am forever grateful for his exceptional care; I am a testament to his remarkable dedication to his patients.” – Blaze

“I very much appreciated the time Dr. O took to show me the actual image of my MRI, listen to all that I’ve dealt with over the last 4 months as well as discuss potential options of next steps. He was very personable and helpful.”

“Everyone in the office was so helpful. The doctor listened to me, he examined me, he paid attention to me. It was very important that he wasn’t like, on his phone or the computer. He was a hands on, making sure I needed what I needed and articulating what I needed to do, how I needed to do it, the best treatment and explain everything in detail to me. I appreciated it.”

“Dr. O answered all my questions and told me things I had not thought about. He gave me “home work” of things to do and then told me to contact him by phone or by My Chart with the answers. From that point we, I did consider us a team by that point, will make decisions about the next step in treatment. Later, I was surprised when my husband said how much he liked Dr. O and that he felt comfortable with my being in his care. All in All, I am very impressed with the level of care I received with Dr. O. “

“Hi. I wanted to just say how much I appreciated. Dr. O’s attention, and care, and listening skills and friendliness. And I finally felt like someone was listening to me and hearing what my situation was the first time. So I really appreciated it and look forward to his continued care very, very much. I feel like I found my person. Thank you.”

“Dr. O was absolutely amazing and took his time and every appointment he was very thorough, very empathetic. The best health care provider honestly I’ve ever come in contact with, especially in the way that he just individualizes every patient and really hears you and just all over amazing. I’ve already recommended him to several people who are looking into possible needs and, in the similar area. So 5 out of 5 stars.”
