Dr. Bart Eastwood is an orthopedic surgeon specializing in knee and shoulder care and knee replacement. He thinks that orthopedics has the fascinating opportunity to treat a medical or physical condition with the application of hands on medical or surgical intervention where the patient can see and feel the change in their own structure and function, and he finds there is nothing more gratifying than seeing a patient get a part of their life back. In his spare time, Dr. Eastwood enjoys paddleboarding, kayaking, fishing, and completing home projects.

Dr. Bart Eastwood earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology at Nebraska Wesleyan University. He continued his education at Des Moines University, College of Osteopathic Medicine, where he earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Eastwood completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at Ohio University. In addition, he completed fellowship training in sports medicine at Indiana University, Methodist Sports Medicine, where he worked with University of Indiana, Purdue University and the Indianapolis Colts. He is board certified by the American Osteopathic Association in the field of Orthopedic Sports Medicine.
Dr. Eastwood is honored to be a part of helping his patients heal and live a healthy life. He finds it extremely rewarding to watch patients progress and go back to enjoying the things they love!
Dr. Eastwood’s specialties include hip arthroscopy and hip impingement, shoulder arthroscopy, rotator cuff and labral repair and knee replacement, ACL and PCL injuries, meniscus surgery, ankle arthroscopy, fracture care, and Tommy John surgery. In addition, Dr. Eastwood is an Associate Professor at The Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine (VCOM) and serves as a team physician for several sports teams, including Bluefield College, Bluefield State College and Concord University. Dr. Eastwood has worked with the Indianapolis Colts, Purdue University, University of Indiana and Indiana University during his fellowship. He has also participated in the NFL combine.
Dr. Eastwood is married and has two children. Outside of the office, he enjoys fishing, attending sporting events and working in the yard. He loves the mountains and the beauty of the New River area!
