A former US Army flight surgeon, Dr. Miller was a Lieutenant Colonel in the Virginia National Guard and a decorated Army veteran and was awarded the Bronze Star and Air Medal for his service as a flight surgeon during Operation Desert Storm. He has dedicated his career, both civilian and military, to providing expert orthopedic care.

Bio

A native of Hopewell, Virginia, Dr. David Miller graduated from Hopewell High School and attended the University of Richmond, graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. After college, he attended Georgetown University and received a Master of Science in Human Physiology.

Dr. Miller then accepted an Army scholarship, attending the Georgetown School of Medicine before heading to Hawaii to do his Internship at Tripler Army Medical Center.

He returned to Washington, DC to do his orthopedic surgery residency at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, where he was the Chief of the Adult Reconstructive Service. Dr. Miller then completed a Fellowship at Queens Medical Center in Nottingham, England. In 1999, he returned to Richmond, Virginia as partner at West End Orthopaedic Clinic, now OrthoVirginia, where he is a former Board President.
