Crutch walking non-weight bearing on affected leg. Keep affected leg elevated and dry.
You will be given 4 medications:
- Empirin 325mg 1 pill twice per day with food for 10 days
- Percocet 5mg: 1-2 pills every 6 hours as needed for pain if the Motrin doesn’t cover all of your pain
- Keflex 500mg: 1 pill every 4 hours for 1 day only.
- Phenergan 12.5mg: 1 pill every 6 hours as needed for nausea
Stay ahead of the pain. Once you feel any pain, take the Motrin. If that doesn’t cover it, take the Percocet.
Return to office to see Dr. Kittredge in 2 weeks.

Keep ankle elevated and dry. May be weight bearing as tolerated on affected ankle. Move ankle as much as possible. May remove dressing in 48 hours and leave open to air. May shower and get ankle wet. Do not submerge ankle for 2 weeks. No bath, hot tub or pool for 2 weeks.
