Specialties

OrthoVirginia Offices

Dr. Steven Baltic is an orthopedic spine surgeon. Spinal pathology can be absolutely debilitating and, according to the CDC, nearly 40% of Americans surveyed in 2019 had low back pain. Dr. Baltic chose spine surgery because he found successful treatment of spine pathology drastically changes patients’ lives. His goal is to give patients functional improvement to resume those activities they love and have neglected due to pain or dysfunction. Sometimes this is something as simple as taking a walk with loved ones or, in some cases, can be returning to play competitive sports. Spine surgery is unique and nuanced, and each surgery is personalized based on each patient’s symptoms, advanced imaging findings, and their physical exam. He truly enjoys getting to know each patient and working with them on a plan to get them back doing the things they love!

In his free time, Dr. Baltic enjoys several activities but can often be found outdoors on hikes with his wife and two children, playing catch, running, or riding his bike while enjoying the beautiful New River Valley.
