OrthoVirginia physicians and staff joined Washington Commanders coaches and players to host a flag football clinic at the OrthoVirginia Training Center at Commanders Park in Ashburn, VA. With around 300 players from the local NFL FLAG league participating, the event focused on health and safety in football.
The clinic was designed to provide education to athletes and their families. OrthoVirginia physical therapists lead participants through warm-ups before Commanders players lead drills. As the kids were practicing, their parents had the opportunity to talk to OrthoVirginia physicians about relevant topics like concussions. At the end of the session, the kids went home with OrthoVirginia goodie bags as well.
