“I have had both hips replaced; left 27 years ago and right 16 years ago. When it became apparent the need to replace the left device, although not looking forward to the procedure thought I knew the surgery and recovery protocol.
Dr. Elshaday Belay very patiently explained the necessary remedial operation, including how he would use robotics for accurate orientation for all phases of necessary update. He described the necessary incision and what to expect differently from the traditional first-time replacements. He has been accessible [for] questions and conversation post-op.
Dr. Belay has worked closely with Jennifer Ott of the PT recovery team to adjust exercises to best suit my recovery. My progress has been hard work, but exactly as Dr. Belay described.” – James L., replacing an existing hip replacement
Dr. Belay was excellent. He listened carefully to the details of my medical condition. Validated my concerns. Spelled out a clear path to full recovery. Carefully explained my options. When he aspirated my knee he proceeded in a very skilled manner with no pain and very little discomfort (and I am phobic of needles.) We agreed on the goals of the treatment. Could not have been better. From here forward Dr. Belay is my orthopedist.
Dr. Elshaday Belay is a very good doctor. I would highly recommend him to everyone. He was very personable, knowledgeable, and I appreciate him explaining things to me.
Dr. Belay has WONDERFUL bedside manner. He listened to our concerns. Answered all of our questions. He made us feel very comfortable during the appointment. Thank you Dr. Belay!
I was very impressed w/ Dr. Belay, his knowledge of some of my medical history, his willingness to work w/ me about concerns I have about my post-operative care (after discharge), & his knowledge about my orthopedic condition, specifically.
I was so impressed with Dr. Belay and the rest of the staff. I was made to feel comfortable with sharing my medical situation. I was very impressed by Dr. Belay’s knowledge and how clearly he communicates his diagnosis (though preliminary) of my problems. Then how best to proceed to complete that diagnosis for how best to determine the best solution for my ultimate treatment.
