Bio

Dr Andrew Neviaser is a nationally recognized expert in shoulder and elbow surgery. He treats all conditions of the shoulder and elbow including rotator cuff problems, arthritis, dislocations and stiffness of the shoulder and elbow.

Dr. Neviaser completed his orthopaedic residency at the prestigious Hospital For Special Surgery in New York City.  He then did additional training in complex shoulder and elbow surgery at Mount Sinai hospital in New York, as well as sports medicine training at The Ohio State University.

Prior to joining OrthoVirginia, Dr. Neviaser served as the Director of Shoulder and Upper Extremity Surgery at George Washington University. He then joined the faculty of Ohio State University where he served as a team physician for the Ohio State Buckeyes football team. While in Columbus, he also served as a team physician for the Columbus Clippers professional baseball team.

Dr. Neviaser is actively involved in cutting edge shoulder research. He leads multiple clinical trials and has authored more than 50 peer reviewed publications.  He has lectured throughout the world on shoulder and elbow disorders. Currently, he is enrolling patients in clinical trials related to rotator cuff problems, shoulder arthritis, shoulder dislocations, as well as fractures.
