Dr. Charles Matthew Gibellato attended college at Ohio University in Athens, Ohio, where he graduated summa cum laude, earning his Bachelor of Science degree. Following this, he received his medical degree from the Medical College of Ohio in Toledo, Ohio, and interned in a transitional year residency at Mercy Medical Center in Toledo, Ohio. He completed his residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) in Richmond, Virginia.

He is board-certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) and is an assistant professor within the PM&R Pain Fellowship at VCU.

Dr. Gibellato is a member of the American Medical Association, American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and International Spine Interventional Society. He is married and resides in Richmond.
