Dr. Lutta is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with a special interest in treatment of problems involving the foot and ankle. He graduated cum laude with a degree in Biology from Clark University in Worcester, MA. He earned his medical degree from Howard University College of Medicine in Washington, DC, where he was named to the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. He then completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at Howard University Hospital and went on to a fellowship in foot and ankle reconstruction at the University of Pennsylvania.

He has been involved in designing several orthopedic devices and implants that improve treatment of different orthopedic conditions.
Dr. Lutta is a sports enthusiast and enjoys sharing his medical expertise with high school and college athletic as well as professional sports teams. He is a consultant for local professional teams including the NFL’s Washington Commanders and the MLS’s D.C. United. He is also a consultant for the George Mason University athletics department.
